I'm Kateryna, the brand videographer and visual storyteller behind Visual Subtext, based in Bucharest. My work moves between film and photography, with film at the core of my practice.
I don't start with the camera. I start with the idea — what the brand wants people to see, feel and remember.
Before moving into filmmaking and photography, I worked in graphic and motion design. Those years shaped how I think about composition, rhythm and visual storytelling — and they still guide how I build a concept today.
Some projects start with my own concept and direction. Others come with an existing creative vision — a brand's creative director, a defined brief — and I step in to bring that vision to life with the same attention to detail.
I'm drawn to character, atmosphere, and the details that make a story feel real.
